Dr. Christy Duan, MD

Founder & CEO
Child, Adult & Reproductive Psychiatrist (virtual & in office)

Dr. Christy Duan (she/they, pronounced kris-tee dwon, rhymes with "swan") is a double board-certified psychiatrist in New York City who provides psychotherapy and medication management to children, adolescents, and adults.

Dr. Duan specializes in reproductive psychiatry and women's mental health across the lifespan. They have extensive experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as with those who have postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD, psychosis, and bipolar disorder.

Other areas of expertise include: ADHD, trauma, anxiety, depression, interventional psychiatry, LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC patients & much more.

As a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at New York University Grossman School of Medicine, they are sensitive to the academic and career challenges that undergraduates, graduates, and professionals face.

Dr. Danielle Stern

Child & Young Adult Psychiatrist (virtual)

Dr. Danielle Stern (she/her, pronounced dan-yell stern) is double board-certified in Adult Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She specializes in caring for children, adolescents, and young adults from birth through age 25. Her clinical focus includes medication management of ADHD, OCD, anxiety disorders, and depressive disorders. 

Dr. Stern believes deeply in helping kids and young adults reach their full potential. Her approach is highly patient-centered—she works collaboratively with patients and families, guiding them through treatment decisions rather than making choices for them. Dr. Stern's practice is largely focused on medication management at this time, but she can work with a small number of time-limited cases using cognitive behavioral therapy in the treatment of ADHD.

In addition to her outpatient work, Dr. Stern is on the faculty in the Departments of Psychiatry at NYU Langone Health, Montefiore/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and Northwell Health. She earned her medical degree from Brown University, completed her psychiatry residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and completed her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.

Dr. Janki Thakkar

Adult Psychiatrist (virtual)

Dr. Janki Thakkar (she/her, pronounced jahn-kee thack-car) is a board eligible psychiatrist completing her final year of fellowship training as a Chief Fellow in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in New York.

She provides psychotherapy and medication management to adults and will also treat children and adolescents starting July 2026. In her career, she has worked in many different settings to gain experience in the many fields of Psychiatry. Her interests include working with her clients to take a holistic and collaborative approach to their mental health needs. Her areas of focus include women's mental health, adolescent and college aged mental health, trauma, anxiety, depression, culturally competent care, and more.

She firmly believes that no individual is defined by their worst moments, and that with a holistic and compassionate approach to treatment including medication and therapy, clients can experience growth, peace, and fulfillment in their lives. Her goal is to partner with her clients to improve their overall emotional and physical wellness and help them feel like the best version of themselves.

Agnes Csepany

Administrative Assistant

Agnes Csepany (she/her, pronounced ag-nis cheh-pahn-ee), brings a caring presence, wealth of knowledge, and over 15 years of experience in healthcare administration. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration and an Associate degree in Business Marketing, which she uses daily to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes and ensure that every patient feels supported and cared for.

 

From managing schedules and coordinating care to answering questions and guiding patients through their visits, Agnes is dedicated to creating a welcoming and organized environment where patients feel supported from their first call to their final appointment.

 

Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling to new places, curling up with a good book, and exploring local restaurants with friends and family.
